A Collection of five ovimbundu carved wooden staffs
a pale wood staff, the cylindrical shaft with a pair of small projecting breasts, the human head finial carved with a broad face with circular eyes and scorched eyebrows, the coiffure arranged in two tresses drawn to a point at the back, incised with a rectangular repeat pattern, 47cm., a staff, the human head finial with centrally parted lobed coiffure, finely incised, the face with smoothly worn angular features, a pair of small breasts carved at the top of the shaft, 49cm., a staff, the wedge shaped finial, carved with stylised faces on each of the four sides, 54cm., a staff, the finial carved as a woman's head, the incised coiffure arranged in pig-tails, the face with coffee bean eyes and incised scarifications on the forehead and cheeks, 46cm. and a staff, the finial of human head form with veil shaped coiffure, carved with a hatched design, the face with disc eyes,
