A Dutch engraved 'Seven Provinces' armorial wine glass
circa 1760
the rounded funnel bowl fully engraved with a shipping scene inscribed 'Salus Patriæ', cherubs' heads symbolising the winds in the sea and sky, the rear with the arms of the Seven Provinces under a seated figure holding a crescent moon and a hat on a stick, the sun shining down above, the stem with a bladed knop above a small knop with a central elongated tear, an inverted baluster with a double row of tears below terminating in a basal knop, on a conical foot, 19.2cm,
