with panels of swag, scrolls and pendant bell flowers, having a rectangular domed top and recessed breakfront frieze on projecting stiles with recessed scrolling panels to the side on stepped plinth base, the brass arched dial applied with gilt scroll and shell decoration, having a silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals and Arabic minutes surmounted by three subsidiary dials for slow/fast, strike/silent and strike on four gongs/strike on eight gongs, the three train musical movement striking on a gong 66cm
