Provenance: Purchased by the vendor's parents from the actor Lawrence Harvey.
Lawrence Harvey (1928-1973) was one of the most popular British screen actors of the 1950s and 1960s who was to achieve international fame and Hollywood sucess. His breakthrough role came in 1959 with Room at the Top which won him an Oscar nomination. His other roles included I am a Camera (1957), The Alamo (1960), Butterfield 8 (1960), Walk on the Wild Side (1962), and The Manchurian Candidate (1962). He was married to the actress Margaret Leighton and towards the end of his life to the celebrated 1960s fashion model Paulene Stone.
