Circa 1635-1645
Boldly painted in rich dark cobalt-blue tones to the interior of the deep rounded body with a central medallion enclosing a seated lady spinning silk, encircled in the well by large lotus-lappet panels alternately enclosing landscapes and floral strapwork and divided by rectangular panels of floral strapwork, the exterior similarly painted with landscape panels divided by strapwork, all supported on a short tapering foot (two hairline rim cracks),
35cm.(13 3/4in.) diam.
