Wieselthier emphasised in two separate interviews ('Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration 1922 and 1926), that she put great emphasis on the interaction between Art (Kunst) and Handicraft (Kunsthandwerk). In fact, Art and Handicraft must be as linked to eachother as colour is to a painting. She maintained that she was proud to be a craftsman and that the artistic element came naturally as she was working.
